GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Ledbury for a Production Planner to join a highly successful, rapidly expanding organisation.
Our client is an NHS approved, market leading company making inspirational and innovate products for over sixty years. The role is to operate our Industrial Single Needle and Over Locking Machines and, occasionally, cut fabrics that are required for the product. The work will also involve operating our Embroidery Machine
The successful candidate will work with the Purchasing Assistant and will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of the production activities. The successful candidate will ensure that materials are in place for successful manufacture of our client’s medical products.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in similar production planning, scheduling role.
Production Planner duties:
- Create and maintain production schedule on daily / weekly basis.

- Pulling route plans together
- Work closely with Production management and supervision to plan and execute
- Generating reports for management

Production Planner required skills and experience:
- Proven track record of record planning and scheduling experience.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of ERP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good planning and coordinating skills
- Experience communicating with suppliers
- Experience in procurement/buying
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines.
This is a full time, permanent position, Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm and Friday 08:00am – 16:00pm.
This role comes with a highly competitive salary up to 30K which is pending experience, plus excellent fringe benefits.
