GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, UPVC Recycling company located in Northampton.  They are currently recruiting for a number of Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer’s to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, to undertake breakdown and preventative maintenance on plant machinery.

This position is working 4 days on, 4 days off and is a mixture of days/nights, (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am)

This is a relatively new production site and a great opportunity to contribute towards a highly skilled team of Engineers.

The ideal candidate will ideally hold Electrical and Mechanical abilities including fault finding on PLCs, Siemens S7 and with process control panels, but training can be given.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer main duties:

  • In this role you will be responsible for both Reactive & Preventative Maintenance on plant and machinery as part of a welcoming team within this recycling environment.
  • You will carry out Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and repair on machinery including hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, conveyors, elevators and process equipment
  • Joining an existing Maintenance team, this is an integral role to ensure minimal downtime and continuous improvement.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer desired skills and experience:

  • You will ideally hold a recognised Time served Apprenticeship, supported by Engineering qualifications such as NVQ3/HNC or City & Guilds
  • You will be a time-served Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer who has experience supporting machinery in a Heavy Industrial and /or Manufacturing environment.
  • You will ideally hold Electrical and Mechanical abilities including fault finding on PLCs, Siemens S7, this is not essential as the successful candidate will be given training
  • You will have an interest in learning basic PLC skills and have good fault finding capabilities

Salary for the position is £36,000, working shifts of 4 days on, 4 days off, 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. You will also receive additional company benefits including pension contribution and 25 days holiday.
