About Josh

Josh is a dedicated recruitment professional specialising in the Manufacturing and Engineering sector, with extensive experience working across Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, and Precision Engineering. Josh joined GMP Recruitment in the summer of 2022 after being headhunted from a local competitor to bring additional expertise and market knowledge to an already successful team. Since joining the business, Josh has gone from strength to strength and was subsequently promoted to Senior Consultant within the Manufacturing & Engineering Division. In his current role, he focuses on providing high-quality and dependable recruitment solutions across the wider engineering sector, supporting businesses ranging from specialist subcontract manufacturers through to globally recognised organisations.

Over the years, Josh has developed an ever-growing network of industry contacts and has built lasting relationships with both employers and engineering professionals. He takes pride in understanding the unique challenges faced within the sector and works closely with clients to identify talented individuals who not only possess the right technical skillset but also fit the culture and long-term vision of the business. Josh is particularly passionate about identifying and supporting the next generation of engineers, helping individuals progress within their careers whilst contributing to the continued growth of UK manufacturing and engineering. What Josh enjoys most about working within recruitment is the genuine impact the role can have on people’s lives. Whether it is helping somebody secure a long-awaited promotion, supporting a complete career change, or placing an individual into a role that offers better opportunities for themselves and their family, he finds great satisfaction in being part of that journey. Equally, he enjoys partnering with businesses to help them grow, often finding it incredibly rewarding to look back years later and see the positive impact his recruitment support has had on a company’s success.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his ever-growing family and making the most of family life whenever possible. To keep fit and switch off from the demands of recruitment, he enjoys mountain biking and getting outdoors whenever he can. He is also a self-confessed crisp enthusiast and firmly believes he has contributed enough towards Doritos sales over the years that he probably deserves a few shares in the company to help protect his child’s future inheritance.
