GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful and highly recognised leading international manufacturer located on the outskirts of Worcester.

We are currently supporting their recruitment for a Quality Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week.  

The successful Quality Engineer will provide quality, technical and operational support services to all levels of the business, ensuring product is produced to the requirements of DPC-D’s manufacturing processes from new product introduction to post-delivery operations. You will use industry standard problem-solving tools and first class influencing and project management skills to lead continuous process and product improvements identified by appropriate data analysis and internal and external audits.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with excellent quality discipline.

Quality Engineer main duties:  

  • Support the management of all quality-related issues within the business.
  • Act as functional owner of the Material Review Board (MRB) process, ensuring that affected product is correctly and efficiently dispositioned within allocated timelines.
  • Ensure that non-conformance data generated by the business are correct and correctly recorded, allowing for ready access for analytical purposes and improvement activity.
  • Leads change through demonstrated leadership skills such as teamwork and effective communication.
  • Actively partners with operations in quality planning, support of production goals, inspection and testing, documentation improvement and control, and shipment of quality products and services.

Quality Engineer desired skills and experience:

  • 5-7 years' of industry experience quality discipline.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably investment casting or precision machining.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related science degree
  • Knowledge of drawings, tolerancing, dimensional inspection and metallurgical acceptance standards for cast and machined product and how these are measured.
  • Knowledge of NADCAP, AS9100 accreditation would be a distinct advantage
