As Project Manager you will be able to demonstrate expertise in the safe and efficient delivery of projects worldwide, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to an agreed scope.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Project Engineer/Manager who is delivery focused. You will be managing projects and be expected to cover all aspects of the process including the commercials, costings, materials, overseeing design coordination, conducting progress meetings, variations, and applications for payment, managing sub-contractors, tender packages, procurement and when required you will be Client facing to ensure the efficient delivery of all the above.
Our client delivers projects with co-ordination, change and site delivery elements – so we want to see evidence of this from the successful candidate.
Project Manager main duties:
- Managing major contracts.
- Monitor and overseeing design Coordination throughout the project.
- Leads the design co-ordination between others
- Contractual representative for site design / progress meetings.
- Client facing – drives client meetings
- Manage and be responsible for all project expenditure, variations, and applications for payment.
- Does all the commercials – value, cost, budgeting, forecasting, ensures we invoice on time
- Pricing and presenting project variations.
- Chases the value, support on large claims
- Programming and monitoring of progress.
- Does all the scheduling and tracking
- Organization of plant / materials.
- Organization of labour, sub-contract and direct
- Compiling of subcontract tender packages.
- Handles all procurement
- Highlighting, understanding, and executing roles as detailed within contract documentation.
- Knows project requirements
- Fill in and manage all associated QA documentation for projects.
- Knows client documentation requirements and ensures team complete, approves
- Oversee all Health and Safety on Contracts.
- Leads H&S as person responsible
Project Manager desired skills and experience:
- Experienced in delivering products or services in site application or construction, as well as manufacturing
- Experience typically 2-3 years as a PM, small PE team to support on all coordination activities
- Capable of meeting/surpassing customer expectations whilst focusing on business priorities
- Highly organised, consistent, and reliable in seeing tasks through to completion
- Able to balance rigor and agility in their process approach
- Have clear and effective communication skills across all levels of business, internally and externally
- Confident in reporting and presenting data/information in a clear and concise manner
- Able to manage their workload in accordance with project requirements and strict deadlines
- Champions of continuous improvement
- Unfazed when working under pressure with an efficient sense of urgency
The working hours for this Project Manager role is Monday – Thursday 08:00am -16:45pm with an early finish on a Friday of 12:30pm.
