GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, internationally renowned manufacturing company, located in Stafford. We are currently supporting their recruitment for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.
The Production Supervisor will manage the day-to-day supervision of a team of 20 plus including involvement in absence monitoring, disciplinary, training and appraisals, overseeing the workflow through all production.
We are looking for an individual with experience in a supervisory level role, within a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of SAP processes related to production and excellent IT skills and man-management skills.
Production Supervisor main duties:
- Day to day supervision of team of 25 including involvement in absence monitoring, disciplinary and appraisals.
- Monitoring build progress in line with requirements
- Maintain workflow through all production areas
- Monitor and liaise with build, test, pack to deliver machines to stores/stock
- Planning tasks for Production Support Operative and Stores to ensure lines are supplied with necessary materials
- Ensure all materials necessary for sub assembly and production are available in good time
- Assist with and implement new production processes and procedures with the team.
- Compiling performance related data for sub assembly, assembly & pack, build times, non-productive etc
- Allocation of labour to achieve required build targets.
- Monitor and check production equipment
- Work with quality team to maintain standards and monitor human and part faults
- Maintaining timely processing of returned and repair machines
- Good communicator both on the phone and in writing
Production Supervisor desired skills and experience:
- Experience at a supervisory level in manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge & use of SAP processes relating to production
- Strong level of IT (Microsoft Packages)
For all the above you will be rewarded with a basic salary of £25-30K pending experience, plus excellent company benefits including pension scheme and life insurance.
