GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, internationally renowned manufacturing company. Due to continual success and growth, we are recruiting on their behalf for a Master Data Technician to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, located in Stafford.

The Master Data Technician will be responsible for maintaining all product master data as well as our machine and spares BOM’s. You would be working closely with the Material Control Manager to take improvement ideas into development, test them and implement them if successful. You will also be responsible for presenting ideas for improvement based on previous experience and knowledge acquired. This role is key to the development and improvement of the company systems and the successful candidate will have the chance to affect real change in company procedure

You must be able to demonstrate previous knowledge of material BOM’s and how they are set up and experience using and developing MRP systems

Master Data Technician main duties:

  • Using our SAP system to create and maintain BOM’s for machines & sales kits to ensure stock accuracy
  • Reviewing material master data in SAP to ensure accuracy & completeness of all records in all languages
  • Create new parts and BOM’s within SAP as required by the organisation
  • Using SAP to audit and ensure compliance with stock movement policies
  • Advise other departments on requirements in order to ensure material/BOM compliance in SAP
  • Use SAP to maintain accurate material substitutions & status to ensure correct spares list is used and ordered

 

Master Data Technician desired skills and experience:

  • Previous knowledge of material BOM’s and how they are set up
  • Previous knowledge and experience using and developing MRP systems
  • Strong IT skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous knowledge of SAP (strongly advantageous)

 

For all the above you will be rewarded with a basic salary of £32,000 plus excellent company benefits including pension scheme and life insurance.
