GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful engineering company located in Pershore, Worcestershire. We are currently supporting their recruitment for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

As Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the management and maintaining of plant, equipment, and facilities, ensuring the business remains operational, meeting the expectations of its customers’, and other interested parties.

Maintenance Engineer main duties:

  • Perform routine tasks, maintaining factory cleanliness
  • General building maintenance (cleaning, painting, minor repairs, etc.)
  • Contribute, support, and perform routine activities in-line with the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), system
  • Perform routine Pre-Use checks of equipment and appliances
  • Carry-out general maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities, maintaining manufacturing and operational capability
  • Project manage equipment installations, facilities upgrades, and improvements
  • Liaise with the Facilities Team, reviewing maintenance requests, and proactively contribute to the planning and prioritization of tasks

Maintenance Engineer desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong IT skills, data entry, with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Head strong and able to think off your own accord
  • Physically fit
  • Self-starter with a real bias for action and sense of urgency.
  • Well organised with a structured and logical approach to problem solving.
  • Customer focused with a real desire to deliver best in class quality in their area of responsibility.
  • Previous experience within an engineering environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience within facilities maintenance (desirable but not essential)

The working hours for this position are Monday – Thursday 07:45am – 17:00pm and a Friday finish of 13:00pm.

For all the above requirements you will receive a highly competitive hourly rate up to £14 which is commensurate with experience, plus additional company fringe benefits.
