GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a highly recognisable, leading manufacturer located in Kidderminster. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for someone to join their team as a Machine Cleaner on a full time, permanent contract.

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to carry out all general housekeeping duties associated with the Rounding Mill and supporting areas. You will also be responsible for making sure the machinery is cleaned and kept up to health and safety standards, ensuring it can operate efficiently.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to location.

Machine Cleaner main duties:

 

  • Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in ensuring the house keeping standards are maintained to the highest Standard for the Rounding Mill Facility and supporting areas.
  • Ensure all 5S Cleaning Protocols are completed in line with the Standards set.
  • Photograph and ensure all daily Tasks are recorded on the Company Tablet.
  • Work to the Rounding Mill Facility Safe System of Works (SSOW) guidelines.
  • Ensure all Mandatory PPE is worn.
  • Support the Team Leader and Mill Manager in ensuring all Health and Safety Housekeeping inspections assigned to the Rounding Mill Facility and support Areas are completed.
  • Report as required any Health and Safety issues through the appropriate communication channels.
  • Actively participate in and support process improvement initiatives. 
  • Maintain mandatory Training Qualifications relating to the specific job role.
  • Attend as required Training courses identified to enhance job role. 

 

Machine Cleaner desired skills and experience:

 

  • As a General Operative you will be actively encouraged within the Team to use your own initiative, make effective decisions and judgments when required.
  • Able to use equipment relevant to the role.
  • Able to communicate effectively with ALL members of the Team.
  • As part of the team assist in the delivery of Operational excellence and performance.
  • Able to actively Identify communicate and assess opportunities for Operational Improvement.
  • Use IT tools if required and relevant to the role.
  • Qualifications relevant to the role including mandatory and up skilling when required.
  • Demonstrate the Company values and carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.

 

This position operates on a standard fixed weekly shift pattern of Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 17:00pm, as well as an hour lunch break.

For all the above requirements the successful Machine Cleaner will receive an hourly rate of £10 per hour, plus additional company benefits.
