About Dan
Dan Horton is the Director of Professional Services at GMP Recruitment, where he leads the firm’s Accounting, Finance and Investment Banking recruitment offering across the UK and internationally.
He advises accountancy practices, advisory firms, investment banks, boutique consultancies and corporate organisations on attracting senior talent across Audit & Assurance, Tax and Advisory & Consulting services, including Corporate Finance M&A, Transaction Services, Valuations, Restructuring, Forensic Services and Risk Advisory.
Dan also works extensively across the wider deals infrastructure spanning finance, private equity, investment banking and legal markets, as well as in house deals, strategy and corporate development functions, providing clients with a broad, joined up recruitment capability across the full transaction lifecycle.
Dan’s approach is centred on delivering informed, commercially grounded advice to organisations navigating growth, transactions, transformation or succession. He is known for building long term partnerships rather than operating purely on a transactional basis, taking the time to understand each client’s strategic objectives, market positioning and talent challenges. Dan works closely with clients to deliver high quality outcomes, whether supporting a growing advisory practice, strengthening an internal corporate development team or appointing senior finance leadership within Commerce & Industry.
Outside of work, Dan is a husband and father of three and enjoys spending time with his family. He is a keen sports person, with particular interests in golf, tennis and football - a lifelong Manchester United fan, and values the discipline, balance and resilience that sport brings to both his professional and personal life.
